OCR Studio to Showcase an AI Toolset for ID Fraud Detection at GITEX AI ASIA
OCR Studio, a developer of identity verification solutions, unveiled a specialized AI toolset for advanced document forensics directly on the user’s device. The toolset contains three core anti-fraud technologies: document manipulation detection based on the image of the ID, data cross-validation with NFC chip verification, and selfie-to-ID face matching. The three-layer solution supports identity documents issued in all major Asian countries and will be presented at GITEX AI ASIA, the region’s largest technological event, taking place 9-10 April 2026 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

This year, GITEX AI ASIA is expected to bring together over 23,000 tech decision-makers from 110+ countries, and OCR Studio is excited to let attendees test the AI toolset for themselves. With the new technology, businesses can strengthen their KYC and client onboarding against the rising threat of financial fraud. The first layer includes data printing techniques and font controls, format and validity checks, as well as image tampering detection module that identifies deepfakes, AI-generated, and morphed IDs. The solution works under any capture conditions and does not require high quality scans, while operating directly on the user’s smartphone, tablet, or laptop without storing or transmitting user’s data.
The AI toolset’s second layer enables ID data cross-validation by comparing information from the VIZ, MRZ, and NFC chip. This allows to conduct document integrity checks and detect forgeries by identifying inconsistencies across data fields. The third layer helps businesses prevent spoofing attacks when fraudsters use stolen or fake ID photos to fool verification. To counter this, the toolset features a selfie-to-ID face matching module that checks whether the user is genuinely present and is the legitimate document holder. Together, the three document forensics layers help prevent a broad range of manipulations and ensure full personal data locality.
During the two-day exhibition, OCR Studio will also unveil an APAC-focused AI system for KYC and client onboarding. The solution is designed to recognize identity documents in the region’s most widely used writing systems and languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Urdu. In addition, it helps companies to meet stringent regional data-privacy requirements.
OCR Studio invites everyone to visit booth HC-Q045/46 in Hall C and try its cutting-edge on-device document recognition and authentication solutions. The company will bring a variety of ID cards and driver’s licenses samples so visitors can see for themselves how reliable real-time document scanning can be.
