OCR Studio Opens Its First Day at GITEX AI ASIA in Singapore

OCR Studio, a developer of optical character recognition technologies, is continuing its 2026 exhibition season at GITEX AI ASIA, the region’s largest technological event, taking place from 9-10 April at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

On the opening day of GITEX AI ASIA, OCR Studio is presenting two identity verification solutions tailored to the current needs of Asian markets: an APAC-focused AI system for KYC and a three-layer AI toolset for ID fraud detection. During the two-day exhibition, both technologies will be demonstrated live at the company’s stand for more than 23,000 tech decision-makers from 110+ countries.

The first major technology OCR Studio is showcasing is a specialised AI solution for businesses that work with Asia-Pacific (APAC) clients. It enables secure KYC workflows that support the region’s widely used identity documents – ID cards, driver’s licenses, residence permits, and passports in the most common languages across APAC. The system instantly scans IDs in logographic, alphabetic, abugida, and syllabary writing systems while operating entirely on-device, without storing or transmitting personal data anywhere. This also helps companies to meet stringent regional data-privacy requirements.

The second headline showcase is an AI toolset for advanced document forensics that combines three core anti-fraud technologies: document manipulation detection based on the image of the ID, data cross-validation with NFC chip verification, and selfie-to-ID face matching. Together, these three layers help businesses detect image tampering, deepfakes, AI-generated, and morphed IDs as well as prevent spoofing attacks when fraudsters use stolen or fake ID photos to bypass verification. This significantly strengthens KYC and client onboarding against the rising threat of financial fraud.

GITEX AI ASIA continues until tomorrow and attendees are welcome to experience OCR Studio’s technologies in person at the company’s booth HC-Q045/46.
