OCR Studio Will Present New Multi-Level ID Scanning Solution with NFC Verification at GITEX GLOBAL 2025

OCR Studio, developer of document recognition technologies, will showcase its earlier announced solution for advanced multi-level ID verification from smartphones and tablets. The new system which instantly scans data and performs cross-validation with full ePassport NFC-chip reading will be presented at GITEX GLOBAL in Dubai in just a week from now. The event will be held during October 13-17, 2025 and will bring together experts in AI, cloud computing, big data and cybersecurity from over 180 countries.

During a five day exhibition attendees will be given an opportunity to test the updated ID scanning technology with its unique features: instant scan and extraction data from Visual Inspection Zone (VIZ), Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ), and NFC-chip. The latter also contains all holder’s information, including nationality, name, document number, issuing state, sex, birth date, photo, digital signature, etc. The algorithm automatically conducts document integrity checks and verifies its authenticity by comparing VIZ, MRZ, and NFC-chip data. The system supports any Passport or ID card compliant with the international ISO and ICAO standards. 

This year GITEX GLOBAL attendees will also be amongst the first to check the most recent ID scanner improvement that enables browser-based selfie ID verification. This multi-level security solution compares the document photo with a real-time selfie of the user, confirming that the person is genuinely present and is the real holder of the document. The present technology is powered by WebAssembly (Wasm), allowing users to efficiently and securely process documents from desktops, tablets or mobiles right in their browser and without installing any apps.

In the meantime other AI-powered solutions for recognizing and extracting data from driver’s licenses, bank cards, and barcodes will be showcased. They support documents from 250+ issuers in over 100 languages, including not only Latin-based, but also Arabic, Persian, Chinese, Japanese, and many more. The software operates locally, without internet connection and transmits no data, – a crucial advantage for companies in finance, government, healthcare, and retail.
